About Ada Foah
Ada Foah sits where the Volta River meets the Atlantic, about two hours east of Accra. It is a favourite weekend escape: take a boat across the estuary, swim in calmer river water, and spend the day on sandbanks and islands. Between roughly September and December, the beaches here are also nesting grounds for sea turtles.
Travel tips
Ada is easy to reach from Accra for one or two nights. Resorts can be full at weekends and holidays, so book ahead.
